Founded by label operator, DJ and producer Gnischrew back in 2016 with the support of a dedicated crew, Sub Audio has since then carved out a nice little spot in the international subculture bass music melting pot, specifically around 140 BPM. A sizeable high-quality discography with more than 20 digital EPs, five 12” record releases ranging from 100-300 pcs. as well as a handful of ultra-limited lathe cut editions continue to stand the test of time.Championing both local talent as well as plenty of international heavyweights throughout the years, thanks and gratitude go out to all the musicians for being part of the everlasting journey. The goal was always and still is to support and push Dubstep and subculture bass music in general, both from within Austria, as well as reaching out to and connecting with the global underground scene.
It’s been a few years and a couple million streams since the last parties have been hosted first due to the pandemic, later on for personal reasons – however it is high time and an absolute must to get together at one of Vienna’s finest new locations and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the label in style and almost exactly on the date (launch party took place on 5th August 2016). For the occasion one of our favourite German bass music artists Soukah is making the journey to Vienna to celebrate with the Sub Audio all-star crew as well as you and you. Other than spearheading the fifth vinyl release of Sub Audio Records with “Life Without Meaning / You Can Run Much Faster” other accolades include plenty of (physical) releases on other top-notch record labels, such as Rarefied, Foundation Audio, Chrome!, Run Outs, WobWob Records and so on.Long story short: reminisce or get to know – either way, come shake a leg!”
